Garden Treasures Pergola with Canopy Review

We recently purchased the Garden Treasure Pergola with Canopy from Lowes Home Improvement Store for $498.
First off it is a heavy box, approximately 250 lbs. Second it is best to have two people with assembly as putting the upper pieces of the pergola on can be difficult for one person.
There are seven upper pieces to assemble, A1-A2 (x1) B1-B2 (x5) and C1-C2 (x1). Each piece has a male to female connection, then you install the longer pieces that attach to the posts themselves labeled D1-D2 and E1-E2. The instructions are relatively easy but it is time cosuming due to the number of bolts. Also, I would recommend using your own wrench as the one provided is thin and difficult to use.
The canopy installation is very simple, you attach two poles together for each side then drape over the top and tie them to the posts. Be aware that there are some pieces inside the posts in the packaging. We started to assemble the pergola and saw that some pieces were absent, but then we found that inside the posts there were several other posts (probably done for the convenience of packaging-FYI).

Overall: good quality for the price. Easy installation but time consuming. Make sure your posts are lined up correctly so the brackets fit in the end. See our video review for more detail.
Pros: easy installation, canopy gives great sun protection.
Cons: not very heavy and unsure as to how it will hold up to strong winds.
