Review of BT35 TOY USA SPEC- aftermarket Bluetooth for Toyota and Lexus vehicles

I purchased this unit for my wife's 2005 Toyota Sienna Ltd Minivan as this particular year does not come with bluetooth calling or streaming. Installation was particularly easy as I did not have to remove the head unit because this Sienna has the RSE (Rear Seat Entertainment) package meaning I simply had to access the ECU (Electronic Control Unit) in the back of the vehicle hidden underneath the back passengers cup holder. Once remove I was able to simply plug and play. Once plugged in the Bluetooth appeared as another AUX on the head unit screen and we were able to easily pair with any phone for streaming music and accepting calls (you must run your microphone up to the front of the vehicle and since we installed our BT35 TOY into the back via the ECU, I needed to purchase an extension for the mic to reach).
Playback was simple by using our phone and we didn't have to install any aftermarket steering wheel controls, they worked with the unit and we were able to skip songs and of course control the volume. The music quality is a bit lacking as it is BT streaming and a bit tinny but otherwise acceptable.
Pros: easy installation with RSE equipped vehicles, seamless integration and simple pairing.
Cons: music quality is a bit hollow but acceptable.
