Ululani's Shave Ice - Maui, HI
Usually long lines but worth the wait, Ululani's Shave Ice on the island of Maui in Old Lahaina town (they have four other Maui locations as well) rivals Matsumoto on Oahu (Haleiwa, HI). I've had Matsumoto Shave Ice on several occasions while visiting Oahu and everyone raves about the creamy and flavorful treat, but I have to say I really see no difference that what you get at Ululani's on Maui. Neither one is superior to the other.

Ululani's is located on Front Street in Lahaina, HI on the West side of the Island of Maui. While there are usually long lines, if you catch them at the right time during the day, you can get served very quickly. With numerous syrups to choose from you can mix up a plethora of flavors to satisfy even the most picky of palates.
They offer several sizes of shave ice, but you can seriously get your fill with the smallest. If your syrup is running out, don't worry just skip the waiting line for orders and get it refilled free of charge. There are also little plastic stand to help you hold your cup of shave ice, ask for one from the counter.
Overall: rivaling Oahu's Matsumoto Shave Ice, Ululani Gourmet Hawaiian Shave Ice on the island of Maui (now 5 locations strong) is a must stop when in Lahaina.
Pros: great selection of flavors, free syrup refill, stand to hold your shave ice, creamy and cold.
Cons: long lines at times and limited seating.
